Marriott has so many different brands that speak to what you're looking for; however, the pictures for this location are wildly better that the actual property. For one, it primed for golfers, but the property feels old and outdated, even if the appeal was supposed to be rustic. The showers pulse with increased temperatures that almost scold. The in-room 24 he menu is available until 11:00pm, then they reduce it to 20% - just the cold sandwiches.
At the end of the day, Marriott can and has done better. This place was a big disappointment for me, my team members, and my client who all had to meet here for 4 days...because the pictures looked awesome. My compliments to the photographer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ting N.Birmingham, United Kingdom5210023830 Sept 2016
This hotel is beautiful with plenty of parking and lovely grounds. The spa facilities are great though basic. The gym and pool seems to be pretty busy with members so if you're looking for a quiet spa retreat this probably isn't the place unless you come during the week.
The lunch in the cafe is good with a decent offering of light options. There is seating outside so you can enjoy your lunch with a view.
Treatments here are fantastic. Very thorough and relaxing. Once again things are pretty basic though with very few extra touches. If you like all the extra ceremony around treatments then you might be disappointed.
Overall a great spa hotel for day visits with lunch. The hotel was really busy with golfers so be warned if you hope for tranquillity.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David M.OR, United States386112 Aug 2012First to Review
Nice spa. No wireless anywhere but in a corner at the main bar. Horrible service in the restaurant; slow to serve, then demanding more tip (we had tipped 12% but evidently that was not enough). No late check-out (even if you are a platinum member of Marriott).

Three starts for me is meeting the standards. Anything above or below is what I will write about.
The check in process was fantastic. The people at the desk greeted me as a platinum elite member. They told us about the area and offered us a car service to the airport the next day (much cheaper than a cab) the rooms were nice. One thing I will say is that we had a low beam in our room that might be best painted a different color. I banged my head on it a few times. Other than that the room was very nice. The spa staff is really nice. They set up table tennis for me and my daughter to play.
The reason for the 2 stars? The restaurant was very bad. The place was empty and the staff was no where to be found. When I did find someone we had to ask to be seated. They didn't offer me a kids menu for my daughter, which has lower priced options (everything is already overpriced and kids hardly eat anyway) the service was extremely slow. We had the Caesar salad and fish and chips. The salad was oily not creamy the fish had so many bones and the chips were soggy. I received two drink vouchers as they don't have an executive lounge so I ordered a beer. While waiting on my meal to arrive the head on my beer left the glass 3/4 of the way full. To top it all off I had to find the lady who took our order so that I could pay. 2 hr dinner for fish and chips and salad?
I would recommend staying here if you have low standards on service, but want someplace beautiful to stay.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
