This train station/area is BOOMING w accessibility to loads of bars and restaurants in Zurich that are cool and unstuffy, there's even a movie theater and billiards hall within a walking vicinity from here. From the Hardbrücke train station, it is the best way to go to the Prime Tower (Clouds, Rivington and Sons) and Maag Halle; and easily accessible to some restaurants like Les Halles and Brisket. This part of Zurich doesn't feel like a Hong Kong movie extra where they have ran out of extras in the movie industry so you end up seeing the same extras in every movie... whereas say in Seefeld you may start seeing examples of my HK movie case.
This area should become even more popular as more people start gravitating toward here bc hanging in bankers paradise is not cool anymore (well, maybe before the most recent banking crash). Now there is a more happening choice in this area as more hipsters and trendy folks are setting up shops here - it's drawing people from all walks of life! This area is just really happening and diverse, baby!
Also, a lot of trains go through here, so for the party people on the weekends this is a great area to go to clubs, bars and restaurants. For those public transport lovers - this is a great location cos loads of weekend night trains and buses run from here.
I take one star off, because I think it needs more signs to help people figure out the area around here once you exit the station. Like, how do you find the Maag Halle? Or how to get to the direction of Escher Wyss Platz? For someone who never comes here it could be difficult to navigate here extremely quickly off the cuff. But once you figure it out, you will be back here for more!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Benoit L.Zürich, Switzerland16723319 Nov 2013First to Review
With the blooming of ZüriWest, Hardbrücke is more then ever an important transition point for those commuting by trains, trams and buses. On top of this the area was revampted in the last few years. Now the area is filled with bars, restaurants, shops, sport places etc... It as now become a second downtown and it's still growing.

This station takes to almost as many places as Zurich main station. At least if you're going to the airport :)
