Bizarre Ink

John is a true artist - I never thought I'd get a tattoo without years of researching and planning, but after walking in and talking to Cameron and meeting with John, I was ready! He kept me laughing throughout the process and I could not be more pleased with the results - thank you, everyone at Bizarre Ink!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary in Edinburgh (from Boston, Massachusetts) and had talked about getting matching tattoos when I noticed Bizarre Ink was across the street from us on the map from where we were staying. We had talked about where and what we would get and called ahead before our trip. They encouraged us to walk in to chat with them once we arrived so we did just that. The owner was so kind and funny, he took down all of our info and this was my first tattoo although my husband has an entire sleeve but he put my mind at ease letting me know I'd be with John who has a light hand and is quick. I really appreciated that because I was extremely anxious, he offered to tattoo us that same day but because of my nerves and empty stomach we decided to wait until their next availability. He gave me tips to eat a big meal and bring some candy and sugary drinks so I would have the best experience. Finally the day arrived and I was so anxious but another employee noticed and put my mind at ease letting me know John had many years of experience and they both were very friendly and reassuring. John explained everything to me and then got started and it was over before I knew it! It truly wasn't as painful as I was expecting and I absolutely love my tattoo! I did a small trinity knot on the back of my right arm near my wrist with double lines and he had me laughing through the entire process, asking me about our trip and then let me know how to care for it. I would not trade my first tattoo experience for anything, John and the rest of the team were all so friendly and empathetic and even shared recommendations with us for things to do in Edinburgh - this is the only tattoo shop you can walk into and schedule an appointment the others in the area make you book months in advance - go with Bizarre Ink they are the best!

John was amazing. We went in the day before to discuss what my friend and I wanted and he explained size options with us along with price and then scheduled for today. Even with me changing my mind on what I wanted he was kind even after 2 more changes. We got our amazing tattoos. We had good conversations with John and his associate. Side note no cards are taken so bring pounds.

From walking in, to the tattoo being done was a great experience. I love my new tattoo. I will definitely be back to see John next time I'm in Edinburgh.

I'm happy to share and show off my masterpiece, designed by Patty, a personal friend, and taken to the utmost level by John on my maiden voyage to Bonnie Scotland! This is my first and only tat to date. Peg, John, Spacey's, Edinburgh, and the whole of Scotland...YOU ROCK!
