Strugglers Inn

This is a lovely pub , small , very comfortable . There were seven real ales on when visited nothing exciting but well kept . Pub is full of the bric and brac of a good real ale pub and feels very welcoming .

A very friendly pub and very old fashioned. Elderly locals mainly.
People think they have misread the name and it should be Smugglers but no.
It stands in the shadow of the castles Cobb Tower on top of which public hangings were done..eg strugglers.


This pub also seems to be haunted by the Black Dog seen elsewhere.
The hungry phantom hound reported to haunt the castle walls


would sometimes try to enter this inn, scratching and barking at the door.

I have only been to the Struggler's Inn once but was taken with it.

Apparently the name comes from the fact that when people were hung they struggled and someone would pull down on their legs to finish them off. Please correct this if I'm wrong.

allegedly sells more beer per square foot of floor than any other in the country- rather small but nice to drink in.

Cracking little pub, I always try to pop in for a few pints whenever I'm in Lincoln. Its one of those pubs that time has forgot and long make it stay that way. Oh its got a good selection of real ale which is another major plus point for the pub.

OLd fashioned lovely pub to go to, been once or twice with family and we all thoroughly enjoyed
