About the Business
Turkish, Italian and Greek...with a Twist If you consider yourself to be pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Mediterranean dishes--gyros, risotto, kebabs, gnocchi, puttanesca--you probably don't know this one: "kahvalti." Literally translating to "before coffee," kahvalti is a Turkish breakfast generally consisting of cheese, olives, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, jam and honey, and Turkish sausage. Breakfast at The Olive and Grape includes lots of traditional items like Kahvalti, Sigara Boregi, Simit, and Gozleme, as well as many recognizable items like European crepes, fritattas and breakfast sandwiches. For dinner, their most popular Turkish dishes are the Turkish Grill for Two, Iskender Doner, Manti, Hunkar Begendi. For lunch, guests are very fond of Menemen, Gozleme, Lahmacun, and Kebap Wraps. "We are the only place in Washington State making the Lahmacun and Gozleme. You should come and try these traditional favorites with a twist,"

Checked out Olive and grape for Seattle restaurant week. They have a great 3-course option for $35. Overall food was solid and cute ambiance. Feels like you are bringing brought to the Mediterranean. Staff were friendly and we got each of our courses in a timely manner, letting us enjoy each. Good deal for restaurant week!

Amazing service and delicious food! Get the Turkish dumplings and the giant bean salad! Pricey with smaller portions than some other places, but the quality is excellent!

Had a fantastic time here! This is a very cozy family-owned restaurant (i think) and the owners were so friendly! One of the owners (our server) gave us recommendations on the food/drink and was extremely friendly and so funny!
The grilled halloumi was very good. This was my first time trying halloumi, it was more dense than I expected. Eating it with the pita was a great appetizer! Everything we ate was so flavorful and I'm really glad we took the recommendations from our server. My one complain was that the gnocchi was a little too soft, no chew at all! Other than that, I had a great time and everything was wonderfully cooked.
I would certainly come here again! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very comfortable and welcoming, and the service was great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ritish C.Seattle, United States0119 Jan 2024
Family owned, good menu selection. The grilled salmon and chicken kebab were really good. Also, don't miss the dessert - tiramisu and baklava both are excellent with Turkish tea.

My wife and I were feeling adventurous today and decided to walk on Greenwood Ave in North Seattle and came across this restaurant. We really liked the atmosphere of the place but little did we know what was to come next...
It was a compact place with approx max capacity of 30 people. It was being run by only 2 employees. We were greeted and seated immediately but the server took sometime before coming around to us. The server spilled water on our table, apologized and surprisingly walked away without cleaning the large spill. All the menus were wet at that point. (Minus .5 star)
Second most disturbing thing was the hygiene of the server. I was waiting to wave them down so they can come help us and noticed the server had a runny nose which they kept cleaning with their bare hands. They did not wash their hand and continued to handle food.
(It's flu season so yikes!) (minus 1.5 stars)
Overall, the food was amazing. We decided to stick with the happy hour menu which is on from 8 pm to closing time. The quantity was perfect and we were able to try multiple dishes.
Happy hour daily from 4-5:30 pm and 8 pm to close. Happy hour menu is attached to the review.
Must try Food items!!!
Burrata
Arancini
Börek
Garlic Fries
Mama's Baklava
Drinks:
We went with the house Rotating Red Wine. It was a Cab Sauv wine. Portions were a light so I would recommend just getting a bottle.
We spent a total of $90 including tips.
Food is worth recommending but the service could use some work. Owner may need to think about hiring at least 1-2 more people to run the business as slow service an impact long term success of the business. Last but not least and the most important. Safety: need to retrain the staff about the importance of hygiene in the food industry.
I hope this review was helpful and if so please follow me for more. Cheers!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 14 Nov 2022
I've lived in Greenwood for years and I'm wondering why I never came here sooner. The waitress (I believe she might be the owner, not sure) is so nice and recommends good wines with your dinner. We went over happy hour and I've been there twice cause I wanted to try all their food. It's delicious! Both my friends really enjoyed it too. We drank a couple of bottles of wine as we sat and chowed down their food. The arancini were the best! The food reminds me a lot of Greece so I enjoy going there. The happy hour is nice since you can try more than one dish. I highly recommend trying it out!

Possibly the only authentic Mediterranean fusion restaurant in existence. You'll find out why if you talk to Paola, the restauranteuress. Turkish, Italian, Greek food and a great ambiance.
The tiramisu and baklava are family recipes and delicious, and all the appetizers are the real deal. We had Alinazik as the main dish. It was authentic like all else, and the chunks of lamb were wonderful.
The service was very personal and warm. The bread was as well.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mira D.Huntington Beach, United States056910 Oct 2023
