Vittoria on the Bridge was our favorite or top 2 favorite restaurants from our ten-day UK trip. The food here is phenomenal, and the service is excellent. You've got to try the foccia and the arancini starters. The foccia may be the best table bread we have ever had. For mains, I loved my rigatoni with chicken and pesto. My girlfriend got a burger but loved it. If we are ever back in this area, we will certainly come back. Outstanding food and service!

The last time food made me moan, it was also Italian. But in Driggs, Idaho, not Edinburgh, Scotland. This restaurant came highly recommended. It was wonderful!
Emanuele was an attentive, personable server. We ordered calamari fritti and minestrone soup with crostini for appetizers. Then we shared a meta Quattro stagioni pizza (artichoke hearts/black olives/ham/mushrooms) and ravioli Leandro (stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese with a creamy pink sauce and fresh herbs/shredded Parmesan). Everything was delicious.
We were too full (and tired) for dessert. Next time!
The owners of this restaurant also own several others nearby (Bertie's fish and chips, etc.).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carolyn T.Duxbury, United States0496 Apr 2024
The service was great. The servers were very attentive. The food was good. I like the idea of half and half.

Went for pizza because needed a break from UK food on our long trip. It was very good! Thin and light crust yummy toppings. The space was large unlike some other places in cities and the service was really good as well. Not the best pizza you are ever going to have but great for Scotland

We were in town with friends and we stopped at Vittoria for dinner. Who would had thought that you could find this caliber of Italian food in Edinburgh UK? I do recommend a call in advance, the place gets really full and we were a party of 8.
We started with the Calamari and Bruschetta for starters and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. We had a margarita and a cheese pizza, Ravioli with Gorgonzola and Pear, Lasagna and I had the Tagliatelle Alla Vittoria. With all of the items we tried (almost everything on the menu), there wasn't a single item that we would not order again.
We ended the meal with a table full of deserts, which I didn't partake in. But I remember that the Tiramasu was the dish that almost broke my diet. The establishment is definitely a must visit and it is the number one restaurant when we return to Edinburgh.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5301481432 Oct 2023
What a great experience! This place is truly one of the gems of the city. And after walking down Victoria Street and going through the castle, my husband and I were super hungry, so we started looking up restaurants. Unfortunately, I am lactose intolerant and vegetarian, so my options are usually limited. I kind of resigned myself to eating salad or potatoes, but they had a whole vegan section!! The service was also top-notch. We were welcomed as soon as we came in, and seated pretty quickly. We didn't have a reservation, but they were super accommodating and got us a table. It was pretty packed so I was kind of surprised but definitely grateful. Always a good sign when a place is packed like that. The place is set up beautifully, with incredible lighting and beautiful table set up. Definitely a lot of work put into making this place beautiful, and it did not go unnoticed. As for the food, wow. Some of the best vegan food I've had, and whatever vegan cheese they used tasted incredible. I've had some really terrible vegan cheeses, but this one was really great. We also got the bruschetta, Which was pretty mind blowing. I would definitely recommend for anyone who likes tomatoes, homemade bread, or delicious things. Our severs name was Hisham and he was one of the best parts of the experience! He was quick, checked in often (but not too much), answered our questions and made us feel like old friends. I really appreciated the care he put into taking care of us, including asking about any allergies, sharing some insights into their dishes, and then bringing me a cupcake for my birthday and singing with the other staff!! I felt so special and then to make it nicer, he came back to make sure I could eat the desert they brought me with my food restraints. Honestly just a great place, great service, and great taste!

Everything was very good. Food was flavorful and portions were generous. Lights were on the bright side. Staff was friendly. It's not super fancy but nice enough. I would go back.
